Before your practice grows, check its foundation.

Adding capacity works best when the administrative side is ready to support it.

Identify what growth will add

A new clinician, service, or location changes more than appointment availability. Consider scheduling, onboarding, equipment, vendor coordination, and supervision or clinical oversight where relevant.

Check ownership and capacity

Look at who will absorb each new administrative responsibility. If your plan relies on someone finding extra time, make that assumption explicit before proceeding.

Document the essentials

Make recurring instructions easy to find. Start with the workflows that a new team member needs in the first week and the handoffs most likely to cause confusion.

Choose a manageable sequence

Separate what must be ready before launch from what can follow. Give each milestone an owner and review date so the plan remains useful as circumstances change.
